Mandy & Tye: Wild Air Farms Wedding – Zionsville, Indiana

I’m so lucky to work with amazing people. Mandy and Tye were AWESOME! We had so much fun exploring the grounds of Wild Air Farms and I was so excited to see they were up for anything.

We had a scare with the weather as it looked as if we might have some rain but thankfully all that cleared off in the morning and we had some nice overcast skies for portraits (harsh noon sun for portraits? no thanks!) and the skies opened up right as the ceremony was beginning… as if the sun popped out just for them!

I always have such a challenging time choosing images to share on the blog (I want to share them all!). I like blog posts to tell the story of their day yet not provide so many images that it’s overwhelming. It was hard to choose my favorites, but here they are!

But first…

Q&A from the B&G:

Favorite part of your wedding day?

Mandy: “I had three very favorable moments.”

1) “5 of my favorite ladies met me at my childhood home where we all got ready. I was relaxed for the day ahead and overly enjoying this time with my favorite gals.”

2) “The first look. I had butterflies! I was able to see my very soon to be husband in the distance and, man, he looked so handsome!”

3) “Taking the pictures! Our venue had hundreds of acres to choose from and we didn’t want to limit ourselves! Debra, the property manager drove us around for much longer than we planned and it was bliss. (Tye hates having his picture taken but being able to move from location to location on a gator, he had a blast too!)”

Tye: “I had two favorite moments. First was the first look. The build-up of seeing each other for the first time was powerful. And non-traditionally, my second favorite moment was when I saw my bride do a keg stand in her wedding dress!”

Honeymoon – Where did you go? What did you love? Tell us about it!

“We went on a cruise to Alaska. We sailed along the inside passage starting in Whittier and porting in Vancouver. The sights were magnificent! We had the privilege to see Hubbard Glacier on a clear and sunny day, seals basking in the sun on the side of the mountain, canoed across a glacier-made lake and drove off-road deep in the rough terrain of the land. Even though the weather was chilly it was a perfect time of the year to visit this magnificent state and tour its beauty.”

Advice for future brides and grooms?

Mandy: “Know your budget and start saving well in advance. Also, everyone is going to have an opinion… do what YOU want! Remember what a wedding is all about – the marriage of two people who want to spend forever together. Live in the moments you share with the ones you love.”

Tye: “After you book all your venues, don’t worry about things. The details really don’t matter and nobody will care. The day is about the union of two people who love each other. You have to remember that.”

Any words to family and friends viewing your photos?

“We had such a blast with Jessica shooting these photos! We were able to completely relax, be ourselves, and have fun with shooting these before the day flew by!”
