This sweet face right here is my inspiration for it all. I got started in photography in 2007 part time while working with a local nonprofit, intending to go full time after I got married and had a family of my own several years later.
The best laid plans, right? Well, I honed my skills over the years and when we introduced our Rowan Kate to the world in July 2016 I had made a few changes in the nonprofit arena and decided that I enjoyed my position helping people regain their sight (all too important in photography!) and I just needed to cut back on photography and prioritize what excited me most – newborns and families! So I discontinued shooting weddings, limited my schedule, and here we are!
Due to a busy schedule as most working mothers can attest, I only take limited sessions so it’s best to book early. I pour every ounce of love for photography into each project I take on and treat each session as if it were my own. Most of my clients word-of-mouth referrals from past clients, and I so enjoy working with people who have a true passion for documenting the early years of their little one’s lives as I’m finding it just goes so quickly.
