Ross and Marshall tied the knot last month at Irwin Gardens! It was the most gorgeous ceremony, the venue and details were beautiful and I loved photographing these two again. We shot their engagement session on the Canal with a Gondola ride last year which was so creative and fun! Ashley and Emily are sisters, so I’ve enjoyed working with this family over the past few years as they have both gotten married. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful wedding day, I’m so happy for you. <3

Favorite part of your day?
Our wedding day was everything we dreamed! It is so difficult to choose just one moment to say was our favorite! The weather was sunny and gorgeous, the garden venue was stunning! Our first look was such an amazing moment! All the anticipation and butterflies made the moment even more memorable! Even the way the light was streaming through the trees made our special day feel like it was straight out of a fairytale. Walking down the aisle while the harp music flowed over the garden guests was so perfect. The moment when the officiant bound us together with our handfasting cord felt as though the many generations of our past were there too. When we walked into our reception and were covered in lavender toss which filled the whole tent with a lavender smell to last all night through. The moment at the reception when we saw all our friends and family meeting and getting to know one another and laughing gave us such happiness! The moment of our first dance where time seemed to stand completely still and we felt like the only two people in the world. These were some of the moments that stand out, but there are many too many to name. Our day was our perfect fairytale dream come to life.
Honeymoon – Where did you go? What did you love?
We went to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic! The beaches were gorgeous, the weather was humid but very sunny! We enjoyed the time away and were both looking forward to some time together without wedding planning! We went swimming with dolphinss… and sharks!!! We took in restaurants and shows at our all inclusive resort and spent some quality time at the swim up bar! The week went by in a flash and we enjoyed every minute of it, just being together… and married!
Advice to future brides and grooms?
The best advice I can give is to let all the planning and stress go on the wedding day. Not everything will be like it was planned, no matter how detailed the instructions and maps and seating charts! There were things that just did not get done the way I had hoped, but when the day arrives you have to just acknowledge that you did everything you could to make it perfect and have a happy day! I noticed every little thing that was out of place or done wrong, but I just kept smiling and moved on! If you want a happy day, that is all on you!
